After searching the AMYUNI website and internet in general I came up with this solution which works for me. I hope this is useful to anyone else with this problem.
SOLUTION (only tested for version 5):
1. Logon to your Win 2000 machine with Administator priveledges
2. Click on Start menu, select Settings, and choose Printers
5. Make sure that you do not have a PDF Converter printer in your printer's folder.
6. In the Printers window double-click on Add Printer.
7. The Add Printer Wizard displays. Click Next.
8. Select Local printer, remove the checkbox to Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer. Click Next.
9. Select LPT1: Printer Port. If LPT1 port is not available the printer can be installed to any existing LPT, COM or USB port. Click Next.
10. In the Add Printer Wizard page click on the Have Disk button and Browse to where you installed Alpha 5, locate the oemsetup.inf file and select that file. Click OK
11. This brings up the Add Printer Wizard page and you should see the "PDF Compatible
Printer Driver on the page. Click Next.
12. The "Name your Printer" window will appear.
IMPORTANT: The printer name must be spelled exactly as indicated below.
Type "PDF Driver" in the Name your Printer window.
In Printer Sharing, select Do not share printer and click Next
14. Select No to Print Test Page and click Next
15. Click Finish.
16. You will notice in your printers folder a PDF Driver Icon
Next time you load Alpha 5 the HTML, RTF and Text Driver will install correctly and you will be able to print using those driver.
