Default Pro edition v. home edition

My father is 82 years old and has done a lot of "playing" on Alpha since v.3. He recently bought the home edition.

I have the pro edition and when he came up for Thanksgiving I helped him redo some of his files (forms, tables, browses, etc.) on my machine. When we attempted to put the data back onto his machine he gets a message that it wasn't created in the Home version and he needs to upgrade to the pro.

Other than buy an 82 y.o. man the pro version, how can this be rectified.

    Art,

I believe the answer is the one you don't want to hear: work that you do in the Home Edition can be recognized and worked with in the Full Version, but not the reverse. Once you manipulate something in the Full Version that came from the Home Edition, it cannot be brought back into the Home Edition.

Dave, Though somewhat of a gray erea regarding product lisence policy. You are allowed two installs per activation key (one for your desktop and the other for a laptop) I dont think anyone would be upset if your "other" computer was the one your father is working on.
