Default Best way to set up survey list

Hi, I am setting up a survey list where the selection can be only "yes or no". I created checkboxes. The problem is all the checkboxes are defaulting to being checked. I would like the form to open with none being checked so they would only select the ones they want. Is there a way to do it globally rather than change each of the 40 checkboxes?
And then secondly how do get to add a "yes" to the field that the check box is linked with. It doesn't seem to be doing anything whether checked or unchecked.
    Thank you in advance
    Larry

    Larry,

The checkboxes are only showing that there is data there. What happens when you enter a new record?

I asume each checkbox is a Logical field. Then you would have a RTF to show "Yes" or "No" if the field was "T" or "F".

    Keith,
Thank you for answering. Your right, After I changed to "checkmark" from "default checkmark" and made the true result fit into the field box(I had it replying with the 3 letter "yes" in a two character field) it started to show up correctly. I wish there was a way to select these and repair globally though.
    Thanks again

    Larry & Keith,

Have you tried Cal Lockin's AIMS_Format addit? It works well and does what you want. You can select any number of elements and change any of their attributes at one time.
