    Default MPX question FOR TECHNICAL services!

    This is only for Alpha Five technical support peeps!

    WHY do mpx files appear using drop down record lists/lookups whenever I use the shortcut to a database but never when the database is opened from Alpha Five. I've tried compacting the database, redesigning the form etc and the problem still occurs. Alpha five isn't deleting these temporary mpx files, even though I've selected this option.

    HELP!

    I don't mind if the answer is.. it's a bug we haven't fixed yet... but if I can fix this, then I'd love to know how!

    I am not in Alpha tech support, but this subject has been covered many times on the forum. Search for "mpx"

    check to see if you are referencing files in a different folder in the boxes

    Cal Locklin posted a function (or script) that does this manually - you would use it in your close button on your main menu:

    IF a5.get_private_path() a5.get_exe_path()

    pcount = 3

    Martin

    Thanks for the response, but all files are in the same folder.
    I'll use the script though!

    Thanks again.
