Hello all,
I recently installed my application on a new client's machine. All is well except one script is producing an error message. It reads:
Script:lettersprint-all line:107
letter2query1.drop()
The system cannont find the file specified.
...c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temp\$$101100.mpx
So, I looked into the *.mpx postings and decided that it was the private path that was causing the problem. I changed the path to c:\temp\.
However, the error still occurs and completely locks up the user's machine. What stikes me is that the file path that the error generates has not changed. Shouldn't it at least now say "c:\temp\"?
I asked the user to check to be sure that c:\temp\ exists on the machine and it does. As does the other file path listed earlier.
I cannot reproduce the error.
So, I am now at a loss for where to look for the problem. I'm sure it could be the script, but why does it work on other PCs?
I know little about the private path. Do other functions of Alpha use this or just queries? I suppose that if the private path is being used by other operations error free, then that is not the problem.... Everything else works fine, this script is the last one run.
I greatly appreciate any ideas on where to look for the problem....
