    Default inswert email address

How an i place email addresses in the address section on the email window. I can export the fields to a txt file with a ; separator and copy and paste. I know there must be an easier way.
    Thanks

    Hello Bob,

Go to the Code Archive forum and scroll down to "Bulk Mail (Spam Spam Spam Spam)" that should give you an overview of how to loop through a table of email addresses using the A5 email client.

Thanks for the help but that's a little out of my league. Can you think of something basic that i could modify as i learn more?

no bulk mail maybe 10 to 15 at a time. Right now i export the email field to an ascii file then open the file with note pad edit select all copy then paste in the address field on the Send Email Window. I do this with action scripting but it sure seems there is a cleaner way.
    Thanks,
    Bob

I have a button on a form that opens a template and all the required fields and information is placed by alpha including the email address. its fairly simple to do using action scripting

I guess the problem lies with you have to do it one record at a time. You could mark the records, filter on the mark and then fairly rapidly fetch through them and send the emails one at a time.

Personally I do it with no more than three or four at a time and it only takes seconds. With a bit of thought you could automate it using action scripting and the event recorder.

I too have trouble with xbasic but so far I have always found a relatively simple work around

    Hope this helps
