Default Excel 2002 -> Apha Five 5.0 - Import Errors

I am evaluating Alpha Five. I am just importing an Excel program into Alpha Five 5.0. Downloaded the ODBC. Everything goes well until the end, I get the following message:

"The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object "Ac Days Ops$". Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly.. Error Occured at line 3580"

"Ac Days Ops": Is a worksheet name and I have several work sheets.

    Do you have a diagmostic?

    Thank You...

As a test, open the respective excel spreadsheet, and save it as excel 4.0. then try a regular import using operations.

I've found the best method is to save the spreadsheet into a DBF format, then add the table to the A5 control panel. From there I then to an append from that table to the table I want the records to mess with.

There are other solutions to this. Bill Parker wrote an operation that saves the Excel spreadsheet to Excel v4, does the import (maybe some other operations as well) all behind the scenes.

Do a search on the message board for Excel imports and you will get more ideas.

When I try to convert into Excel 4.0 workbook I get the following error:

A Formula in a cell (Name:["Excel Sheet Name"]error!_xlfn.BAHTTEXT) could not be converted because it contains a function that is not available in the file format to which you are saving. If you continue, the formula and results will be saved, but the fuction will be converted to an error value....

    It does not look good...

My workbook has over 90 Sheets. The DBF file save seems to work only with 1 excel sheet NOT multiple

try saving the workbook to an excel 4.0 and ignore the message, since, if I am correct, you don't care about losing the formula, you just want the data, and you are only losing the formula on the 4.0 version, not the original - but save it with a different name - so the original is preserved. Then see if you can import it.

If that works, go to the code archive, and copy the code for the function to convert silently. save the import operation, and you can runit automatically.
