Hi Gang,
I'm using a button to allow end users to "Find by Key" from several indexs to locate a customer. Standard stuff: Last Name, Address, Customer #, Birthday Buttons. When using this method a Serach By Key Dialog Box appears and tells the end user which index they are working in and allows them to type in what they would like to search on. Kewl stuff!! ... However, I've taken my search index out a little further than normal.
For Lastname Search index I'm using:
rtrim(lastname) + " " + trim(firstname) + " " + rtrim(city" + ", " + state
Is it possible to type what I would like to actaully see in the Search by Key Pop Up Box to say, instead of saying what the acual index is. Which in this case would be; Rtrim(lastname) + " " + Rtrim(firstname) + " " + Rtrim(city" + ", " + state
When I do a mouse fly over the actual Search Key Button, that activters the Search on Key, It says "Search on Last Name index" which is great .. now how do I get this text to replace the other?
Thanks,
Jeff - actual code below
