I posted a message yesterday about copying set files, but I think the problem can be illustrated (and duplicated) more easily by simply copying a form attached to a set.
Say I have two identical copies of a database (we have them on 2 computers because two people are developing independently on different parts of the same database, but for testing this problem, the 2 databases can just be stored in different folders on the same computer). I then create a new form that is attached to a set in the 1st copy of the database. I want to copy that form to the second database, so I select the form, right-click and select Copy To. I scroll to the bottom of the list displayed and select More. I then find the folder that contains the second database and select the matching set (make sure Type of File = Set). I then press OK to copy the form to the second database. But the form does not show up in the second database.
If I perform exactly the same procedures as outlined above, but I select the primary table in the set to copy to rather than the set, the form will be copied into the second database. Then, if I copy the form in the second database (that is now incorrectly attached to the table rather than the set) to the set, it works and I have my form once again attached to the set.
I'd appreciate it if someone out there would see if they can duplicate this problem or if I'm the only one that it's happening to. Or let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks.
