At the suggestion of William Hanigsberg, Ive attached the database with the embedded browse problem. The application Im working on is an inventory system for the production plant where I work. As I mentioned in my previous post, Im having trouble getting information collected in a dialog box to display in an embedded browse. Sometimes it displays properly, other times it does not.
The database consists of the following tables:
 Account
 Carton
 Pallet
 Production
There is a set, Inventory, with Pallet as the parent table and Carton as the child table. This set tracks individual units of product. Account is a lookup table. Production is both a look up table and a table that summarizes inventory/production activity. Totelog is the data entry form and the form ToteCalcDialog is called as a dialog box. Most of the scripts are attached to the object events.
To enter data, one opens Totelog and clicks the Enter New Record button. One fills in the blanks, using the pop up tables. Once the Location field is filled, one clicks the Enter Weights button to call ToteCalcDialog. This dialog box collects a carton number and calculates the net weight of the product (1 - Var->vnGlaze/100) * (Gross_Lbs - Var->vnTareWeight). Once the fields in the dialog box are filled, one clicks the OK button and is returned to the data entry form. In theory, the data collected will display in the embedded browse. The problem is that this doesnt always happen. The data is there, but the browse doesnt display. If I close the form and then reopen it, it will usually display. Whats happening here and how can I correct this problem? Closing the forms and reopening them after each record is entered doesnt seem like the right approach and it is slow.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to look at this.
