<array>.initialize_from_table() question

Hello All,

I can use the .initialize_from_table() just fine, but this is a pointer array. I now want to display the array to a user. The ui_get_list_array() function wants a character array. I'd also like to filter out unwanted fields. Anyone know how to display this array without going through a for next loop and manually putting the wanted values in a character array?

My searching found a keylist_build() function but it is undocumented, or at least I can't find the documentation.

I found that the keylist_build() along with an Xdialog produces an instant and customizable selection box. I'll email you an example.

This is very easy to do using all of the new array methods. For example, here
is an Interactive Window session for AlphaSports.
The key to note is that after you have created the property array using .initialize_from_table(),
you can then dump out the properties that you need using .dump_properties()
As you will see the dump_properties() method takes a "format string" that
combines fieldnames (i.e. property names in the array) and format characters.
So, when we do:
list =
p.dump_properties("firstname|lastname")
?list

Winston|Abrams
Randi|Adams
John|Baker
The string that is created has the | character between values.
But, if we do this:
list =
p.dump_properties("firstname lastname")


?list
= Winston Abrams
Randi Adams

The string that is created has spaces between values.

table.external_record_content_get() method.
