    Default A5V5 to V6 transition

    We’re a happy 14 year Alpha Software user…. And we’re about to upgrade a multi-user situation from A5v5 to A5v6…..

I would like to upgrade one workstation to V6, and do some testing of our current databases, sets, reports, etc, and see what (if any) issues arise…. before I upgrade all of the workstations.

Understanding that one should not edit existing forms/reports/xbasic/actions/operations in V6 until all users have upgraded to V6. And, I see comments about array syntax:

Are there any known issues with having simultaneous V5 and V6 users in the same data bases, sets, etc, ???

The known issue is that you don't do it. I would make a copy of the database, do enough testing to satisfy yourself that all is well and then have every user start using version 6 with no turning back.
