Default Adding a printed letter to a form

I know I have seen it somewhere but cannot remember how. I have a form with MY medical information, I want to be able to place a scanned image (.doc,.rft, txt, etc)into the form for the current record date.
    Thanks,
    Al

    Al,

Don't understand what you mean....I want to be able to place a scanned image (.doc,.rft, txt, etc)into the form for the current record date....

I don't think you can scan an image into A5 and certain parts automatically appear in fields. If it could, wow, what a feature.

You can scan a document into at (such as an application form, and ussssse that as the background. The fields can be placed where the blanks appear for entering information.

If this isn't what your asking, perhaps you can clarify your need.

    Ken,
What I was trying to explain (tho I guess I did a lousy job)I have a form with my medical history on it for a specific date that I was treated. I now want to take the blood test results and scan it into a word document and save as .pdf, .DOC, .RTF, etc. Then be able to put a field on the medical form and be able to see it there or print it out if needed again. I want to eliminate the paper copy and recall it in A5.
I hope this clarifies your question.

    Al,

    There are 2 different approaches.

The most likely is to scan your document and save it as .jpg or .bmp. If the scanned image is in that format, then you can add it to any record in your database. Check out the Sales People screen in AlphSports.

The other approach doesn't really add the scanned image to your database, but does give you access to it with information about the image. Go to http://www.alphasoftware.com/support/tech/alpha5/tutorials.asp Look at the next to last tutorial. It will show you how to create a document manager application in just a few minutes. You would add your scanned image address to this database and use the associated software to view the document. You can add an extra button to your screen to print the document.

    Hope this helps,
