Default form margins (difference between client and designer)

There seems to be a difference between the form's right and bottom margin depending if it is opened in the client and in the designer.

Van someone point me in the right direction to fix this?

    Thanks Sieward

I enclosed a jpg as example

edit the form's properties and see what the window size is set to.
the window size is only honored when the form is opened from the control panel. it is NOT honored when you toggle from design mode to run mode.

Selwyn, i opened the form from the control panel.

if the Caption checkbox is checked then the bottom margin is OK. But that has no influence on the right margin.

I am having a hard time understanding what the problem is. Could you create a small example and attach it to your reply so that I can see the problem for myself.

i attached a sample DB. On the "OpenThisFormToTest" is a button that displays the calendar form. On my PC there is a difference between the frmCalendar in the designer and in the client.

if you look at the window properties for the 'frmCalendar' you will see that they are hard coded to a specific height and width. Change the height and width to 'use form height' and 'use form width' respectively. then when the form is opened at runtime, the window size will be just large enough to accomodate the form size.

a form can be bigger or smaller than the window in which it is displayed. if larger, the window will display scroll bars. if smaller, there will be 'white space' to the right or below the form itself in the window.
