    Default Question about Button Properties

    I have defined several buttons on a form. The button color is "Dark Green" with bold "White" text. When a button is pressed it turns to "Megenta" in color with "Black" text. Any way to keep the "Dark Green" color when pushed??

    Thanks for the help

    Default Button Properties

    Lee,

    This is covered in the documentation, but.....

    On my buttons, I incorporate visual changes when the mouse moves over the button (OnFlyover) and when it moves off the button (OnFlyoverLeave). The reason is that when the button is pressed, usually something happens and quite often, the button is not visible any more, so to my way of thinking, I don't see any reason to have the button change when it is pressed.

    Here is the code I incorporate OnFlyover:

    this.font.color = "Black"
    this.font.underline = .T.
    this.font.bold = .T.
    this.border.style = "Bump"
    this.border.has_bottom_edge = .F.
    this.border.has_left_edge = .F.
    this.border.has_right_edge = .F.
    this.border.has_top_edge = .F.
    this.fill.forecolor = "Win3D"

    And this is the code for OnFlyoverLeave (returns the button to its original state):

    this.font.color = "Off White"
    this.font.underline = .F.
    this.font.bold = .F.
    this.border.style = "Raised"
    this.border.has_bottom_edge = .T.
    this.border.has_left_edge = .T.
    this.border.has_right_edge = .T.
    this.border.has_top_edge = .T.
    this.fill.forecolor = "Gray-40"

    There are as many choices as there are people using buttons. Play with it and come up with options/combinations that you like.

    Copy the scripts on the OnFlyOverLeave event & paste it on the FlyOver event replacing the existing script that changes the color. To do this, put your form in design mode. Right click the button & select Event then Popup-editor. Good luck.
