    Default Sending Email Problem

    The following code worked fine with the V6WAS, but when the server was upgraded to the V7WAS, it no longer works. None of the emails are being sent. Any idea what may have changed between the two versions?

    Code:
    <%a5
    DIM ps as P
    DIM pm as P

    pm.from = "sales@sweetrock.com"
    pm.from_alias = "SR Wholesale Request Page"
    pm.to = "sales@ferrastone.com"
    pm.cc = ""
    pm.bcc = "sales@sweetrock.com"
    pm.subject = "Response From SR Wholesale Request Page"
    pm.message ="Info has been submitted"

    ' send message
    IF email_smtp_open(ps, "mail.domain.com")
       email_smtp_send(pm, ps)
    END IF
    Email_smtp_close(ps)
    %>

    Phil:

    When I upgraded none of the email profiles On the WAS carried over. My code would execute and no email was sent. Once I reset the profiles I was back in business.

    Steve,
    Unless I am missing something, if I use the email_send function, then I need a profile to be defined. The code that I am using does not require a profile because it is opening the smtp.

    I know about the profiles not being transfered, I had posted a thread on this issue.
    Thanks

    I would like to take this opportunity and thank Aaron for his help on finding the answer to this. It turned out to be a wrong smtp definition and a "relaying problem" on the part of my email server provider. IT WAS NOT AN ALPHA PROBLEM... By defining the proper smtp, port, user, password in the xbasic code on the a5w page corrected the problem.

    Once again, thank you Aaron
