Guidance needed- copy record

to back up let me know if you have the time now
its 2 pm here and i will be catching a burger for 30 min and then be back

to recap
you want to be able to click a link on the first page and
take this ID and move this item from one table to another
and then display the second table

all by clicking only once the starting link

let me know if you have your starting page with the link set
and this is not the link that was mashedup with the details
link

the basic operation is simple
1) set the link to call your code page
2) in the code page use xbasic to clone the record from one table to another
3) have your code page call the form to display the items in the new table
by using a recirect()

Copy Record

Would I use somthing like this? I don't feel confident that my code is correct though.

tbl_source.fetch_goto(item_no={Item_No})

on error goto failed_to_copy

result = tbl_source.copy_record_to("swap_proposals")

on error goto 0

Playing and here is what I got

I used this:

dim swap_items.dbf as P
dim swap_proposals as P

tbl_source = swap_items.dbf

tbl_source.copy_record_to(swap_proposals.dbf)

on error goto 0
