We are pleased to announce that a new optional add-in is available for Alpha Five V7.
The 'Enterprise Reporting' add-in allows you to create reports, labels and letters on any SQL database for which an ODBC driver is available, or for which Alpha Five has a native driver.
Alpha Five has native drivers for MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Access, and Excel. With A5's native drivers connecting to these backend databases is extremely easy and quick - no ODBC drivers to install, no DSN files to configure! (A5 also has a driver for QuickBooks but this driver also requires that you purchase QODBC from FLEXquarters.com.)
'Enterprise Reporting' includes a fantastic SQL Query Genie that allows users who have little or no experience with SQL to create very complex SQL statments.
Another great feature of 'Enterprise Reporting' is 'passive-link' tables - native A5 tables that are populated with data from remote databases and that can be refreshed at any time to get the latest data from the backend database. 'Passive-link' tables are great for building reporting and analysis applications on remote data - especially if you want to work in a 'disconnected' mode.
