We've set up a second machine on our network as a Development WAS.
Currently the license of that WAS is not activated because of a machine name conflict. This conflict will be resolved shortly. So for now we are accessing the new Development WAS using http://localhost/ from the Development machine.
The server port for the Development WAS is 80. Apache is not running on the Development machine.
The issue is this -
When we access the Development WAS using http://localhost/ to access the index.a5w page, we get the error page:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
as though the machine is disconnected from the LAN or Internet.
The index.a5w page is indeed extant in the WAS root directory on the Development machine and the proper file permissions are in force.
We have further discovered that any of our production webpages containing html code will cause this same error page to display.
But, when we access one of our redirect pages which contains nothing more than the code <%A5 response.redirect("a given URl") %> where "a given URL" = one of our production website pages, the Development WAS correctly parses the webpage and displays the page to which it was redirected.
We're baffled by this behavior. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Phil Storre
