I am a fairly new A5 convert and am trying to make use of some of the excellent features of the product. However............ I am struggling to set up the email client and make it work.
I am using Ver 7 build 4130; System addins 3003. I use a broadband connection through a LAN connection - a wireless router (wired) - that works fine with Outlook and other email management applications.
I have collected and used the same account details as Outlook. When I click TEST I get the following error message(also attached screen shot):
---
Connect to Outgoing (SMTP) Server failed:
The hostname might be incorrect or the server may be down.
WSAECONNREFUSED - Connection refused while connecting.
Detailed Description:
No connection could be made because the target computer actively refused it.
This usually results from trying to connect to a service that is inactive on the
foreign hostthat is, one with no server application running.
---
I have checked all the details - user name, Income POP. Outgoing SMTP, users name , password and email address and they are correct. Under Sending I have selected "Outgoing server does NOT require authentification" as this is not checked in the Outlook settings.
Am I missing something. I have not configured anything else. The A5V7 is installed as is (straight out of the box) with the normal updates when notified. What else do I have to do to make it work?
Any help that is available will be gratefully received as I am desperate to get an email out to all the delegated booked for a conference.
Cheers
