Default new Newsletter on Alpha Programming

I've been working for the past month on a newsletter format and am about 24 hours away from sending out the first issue. It is mostly programmer to programmer, with a little business commentary thrown in. It follows the ongoing content of my blog. If anyone wants to be added to the list, please visit my website below and find the link for Newsletter. Here is a link to the first issue and the address to my blog:

    Steve,

Your newsletter has some wonderful information in it that is very helpful.

Regarding your artilce about opening PDF's in a new window, there is another technique that doesn't require the user to change settings. See the pictures attached.

If you create the print code as a separate Xbasic page, and open that page in a separate window, then the PDF will be in that separate window. There is an option in the "computed from data in the grid" window to set a target frame or window. Just set that to "New Window".

Yes, and I use that to create a link to open a report or new page, but the imputus for the article was an exercise with a customer where they have all reports launched from a single dialog - no opportunity for a link. Actually, they could have a link but that would require "opening a second page, and then running the report from that page", and you know how fussy customers are about extra mouse clicks.

The reports dialog looks like in my attachment.
