Sure is easy to use. Have you installed it at a client site yet? This is the first touch screen application I have seen. Good idea.

    Charlie,
Was born in Logan many many years ago. I'm 65 years old now.
Can you help me with some code?
I have a password database which consists of EmpNum Char 2, Emp_name Char 25 and Admin_Status Logical 1.

I would like to bring up a dialog box created in Autoexec which asks for a user EmpNum. I'd like to use EmpNum as a Lookup to the password database to obtain the Admin_Status and hold it in Another Global Variable.

When an Administration Button is pusshed, I'd like to check the status and if is 't', I'd like tyo open the admininstartion form else I'd like to display and message of "Un-authorized User and exit the script. If the Empnum is nopt in the password table, I'd like to print the same message as my previous one and exit the script. Can you send me the code to accomplish this?? I'm new to this and very confused as the waht to code.

    Thanks, Rudy

Rudy, double posting is considered bad form.

Your question belongs in a different forum. It will get better exposure over in the A5v9 Desktop forum.

I posted it in the Desktop forum however I thought that there might be some code available in this forum. When I read your post, and Charlies, I though one of you would be able to help me with ease however, I understanf if you will not and will not double-post anymore. I'm frustrated because there is so much to learn.

    Thanks anyway,
    Rudy

Rudy, I'm not picking on you. Just trying to help you get the most from the message board. The board works best if you use separate topics for each question. It's not a series of blogs where the conversation moves (within the same topic) from issue to issue. Do you see the difference? Organizing your questions by topic, and posting them to the forum that applies helps you get better exposure for your question, and makes it MUCH easier for others to find useful message threads later on. Yes, you posted this question in the Desktop forum but it was buried inside a different thread.

ps. I've already been trying to help you in the other Code Archive thread, and believe it or not this post, too, is an effort to help.
