    Default Version 6 Missing Data

Hello, Excuse my vague descriptions as I'm a complete newbie who inherited an Alpha 4 version 6 database of four thousand insurance files.

I attempted to sort out files entered beginning in 2002 from the overall database. This resulted in 1142 entries which were saved separately.

Later, the data entry clerk attempted to modify a file from the existing database only to discover that it was not there. In fact, large numbers of files seemed not be there.

I used the backup disk to reload the database but the problem continues.

The question, I suppose is: how can sorting out a subset of the main database cause the main database to lose data?

Next question: how the heck can I get the data back?

    Thanks.

Default Re: Version 6 Missing Data

Problem solved. It seems I reset the range. Putting it back to default solved the problem.
