    Default Calling of DLL's

    Hi,

I am currently calling the Rational ReqPro Extensibility Interface as an OLE object.

How would I call this as a DLL, or preferably add the Extensibility Interface within my object library?

The reason for this is that the foot print, and time used currently is far too large.

    Rolin,

Could you be more specific. What does the Rational ReqPro Extensibility Interface.

OLE is the better way of using functions from another application. Why want calling a dll. Do you mean API functions?

Do you mean slow and consume too much memory?

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

a5 allows you to call functions in DLLs. see the DECLARE command.

    Thanks for the info Selwyn..

@ Marcel: Correct. The Alpha Five app's foot print builds to +/- 180Mb and the task runs for +/- 15Mins...

The exact same `process`, but coded with VBA in excel has a foot print of +/- 10Mb and runs for +/- 5Mins...

I am sure that I use the Declare DLL function to make the process a lot more efficient.
