"Printing" or generating reports to multiple files

I have some 350+ records in a data base and have reports formatted to generate output the way I want it appear.

What I want to know is there any method in A4V7/8 to have EACH record generated as it's own file (under a different file name for each) in some manner of batch process?

For example:

The record for John Smith would result in file smithjo.ext
The record for Jane Jones would result in file jonesja.ext

and so on.

I have already defined a calculated field in each record defining what the file name should be.

In A4, you'd have to write your own script to accomplish this.
