    Default Object border (etc) properties

Click on border properties you get a bunch of blank squares (see image). What's the point of that? Sure you can hover the mouse and it tells you what you're looking at, but it would be simpler to just have a list with the text description only (like it used to be). Similar deal w. styles, etc. The point of using graphics is to allow the user to intuitively (and thus quickly) grasp what the heck it is you're trying to select. Blank empty boxes are NOT helpful. Like duhhhh.

    Hi Peter,

I think you must have the colour for the fill style set to white which causes Alpha a problem as when it calculates the transparency level it is based on the colour you have chosen on a white background. Hence white on white gives you a bunch of white boxes. If you changed the colour to black or any other colour except white you would see the difference in the transparency. You must also have your accent colour set to white hence the white boxes for the gradient fill.

I like the visual representation and would like it to stay but maybe Alpha could put an option in to display by text or graphic to suit both preferences.

    Regards

    Geoff

Well, thank you Geoff! I guess the "Like duhhhh" refers to me. Now the boxes make great sense. Live and learn.

Actually, I only wear the shades to keep me from being completely blinded by the brilliance of Alpha.
