Default In new web security where are the "user name" tables

In the new web security set up where can you find all the information regarding user names, passwords etc. In the built in web security dialogue all passwords are blanked and there doesn't seem to be a user name table created and residing in the Table/sets section of the control panel. This is really a question of administration of password issue. Any help please.

    Robert

What help could be given to you in this public forum that could not also be used by you or someone else to break security on a different system?

The security files are a mystery on purpose. They are all sitting in the Default.WebProjects folder prefixed with websecurity_ and a couple other security related files. They don't show up in the project file list (some of them do in the All Files folder). You're not supposed to work with them directly. Rather you need to use the new functions that start with A5WS_. You won't find the password anywhere, they are encrypted and you can't recover them, other than through the security framework functions.

Its a whole different model than in V7. YOU have to create a local users file if you want to capture things like Name, Address, etc. See the Help on Security Framework on how to do this.

    Steve,

Thankyou for your advice. You confirmed that I was not missing something obvious. Thank You.
Will just have to adopt a different procedure.

    Regards Robert
