Default 1 Group of labels per sheet

I am printing labels for my school. The data contains the student's name and the teachers' names.

I want to print only one teacher per sheet.

I can't seem to find a way to get it to "break on teacher change."

Alpha 5 is much better than Lotus Approach, but Approach does this one task easily. Any thoughts on getting Alpha to do this?

    Thank you.

How about querying on a specific teacher name, print the labels, repeat. Clumsy but doable. Could be automated with some xbasic.

    Stan,

Thanks for taking time to reply. I was hoping to find a more elegant method, without learning X basic.

I think I'll just open the dbf file in Approach and do it from there.

    Thank you.

Labels and letters are specialized reports.

If I find myself in a circumstance where the label or letter option is limiting me, I open a new blank report based on the same table/set and import the label/letter and proceed from there.

Then you have the option to start a new page on a break in a field value..

    Al,

Thank you for taking time to reply. May I ask you where/how to break pages based on field data?

    Thank you.

In a report, you should set up a group that breaks on a field. An option within a group is to start the group on a new page.

Thanks, Al. I'm working with labels, not a report.

    Thank you.

    Al,
I have been fiddling with making a report for a label and couldn't get the alignment to work correctly. Your suggestion to import the label design into the report works perfect! I wish I had found this thread 3 hours ago!
