Default Great news - I have v5 running great on Vista!!

After hours of research, I finally have my v5 application running on my Vista computer. I had explored dual booting, etc, but nothing worked well. The answer is Microsoft's virtual pc 2007, which they have decided to make available for free. Once that is up and running it works beautifully!!

    Hi Gary:

Is your Vista machine a stand-alone? Running on a network? Workstation or server?

I'm due to start testing V5 on Vista next week and I've been warned that there is a major issue using mapped drives in any Vista setup, that they simply lose the connection between, for example, a Vista workstation and a server running another OS like Server 2003 or XP Pro.

If the Virtual Server solves that problem, it sounds like a great solution.

What OS are you running inside your Virtual PC VM? It sounds like you're running Virtual PC on Vista, but have a non-Vista copy of Windows to run V5.
