Open Files during backup

Hello,

I have a script that we kick off every night manually that does postings and updates to our tables. When it gets done, the last thing the script does it close out of alpha. Which it does.

Even though alpha is closed, I see in my tape backup logs that several files appear to still be open:

Helpdesk.Cdx" in use - Backed up.
Helpdesk.Dbf" in use - Backed up.
Systemname.Dbf" in use - Backed up.

*Helpdesk is the form from which we kick off our nightly script

Why is this? Is it because the machine is still on and they only way to in fact totally close out of alpha is to shut down the pc?

Could this be because I'm not closing the form before I exit alpha? I just added the "close form" action to the script and I'll see what happens tonight.
