Default If I ever have a reason to remove or edit one of my old posts

I was wondering why the edit button disappears after a while.
Just wondering because there doesn't seem to be away to edit or remove
one of my very old posts.
Of course only my own posts only, but it doesn't give me the ability to do this.
Is there a way I can request permission to do this if it ever becomes necessary.

    Thanks,

    Bill

You have about an hour to edit a post. Removal is not a participant option but you could of course edit and remove all content of a post for that hour. After that it is "permanent" as far as we users are concerned. Unless things have changed Lenny is the forum master and has control of removing posts, moving them to the proper area when they are posted in error, etc.
