    Default Settings, System, Holidays

    I have entered holiday dates into System, Holidays. I am trying to use the ADD_BUS_DAYS() function with holidays. I can get the field rule to work with holidays on my computer, however on the run time computers, I get an error message that the holiday data cannot be found.

    this is the field rule: ADD_BUS_DAYS(RTCAUSEDAT,+15,"yes")

    Could someone help me with this?

    Hi Robert,

    I added a table inside my application folder called holidays.dbf.........So that all users could enter holiday dates into the holidays table, so that everybody was/is looking in the same table.

    And used that table inside the function instead of the a_Holidays inside the Alpha program folder.

    ADD_BUS_DAYS(TSRDEMOUT->REC_DATE,10,"no","s:\a5data\loadouts\holidays")

    At the time I set this up, I had to hard code the table. I think it was in ver 5.5 or 6. So you may not have to do that now. Also at one time the documentation was not correct, and Lenny corrected it, you will have to look at the help files. So you will see the "no" above so the function does not look at the system table.

    Hope this helps.

    It also works for Days in between.

    Regards

    Ed
