    Default mapped tables

Would be helpful if the mapped tables designer had the same option of specifying a child sort sequence as the set designer does, with a "descending" option.

Almost the same thing can be accomplished, but not quite.

In the set designer I give a child sort sequence and specify "descending". That creates an index with a Direction = "descending". The advantage of doing this vs. enclosing the entire expression with invert(...) is that the result of the expression is readable in the expression builder.

With mapped tables, invert() must be used to get a descending sequence. So something like
    Code:
    TXNID+LINE_INVOICENOBEINGPAID+invert(STR(LINE_AMOUNT_LOCAL,14,2))
In this case the value for Line_amount_local is not readable in the result listing. Also I will change my set definition to match this index definition vs. using direction="descending" in case the mapped table can use the prebuilt index.

Would also be nice if the Edit Mapped Table dialog was modeless instead of modal. I find myself need to open other tables, operations, etc. while this is open.

I agree! When selecting "Last Match" as your 1:1 match option, I have no idea what order is being used. Even allowing an index to sort the child table order would be fine.
