    Default 403 Forbidden

Hosting company just transferred me to another server because I upgraded to V9 from V8. Publishing files: unchecked Publish New or modified files only and cleared publishing history. Uploaded ALL files in project, database files, and web security tables. Then I attempt to go in (http://75.127.106.27/) and access my site. This is the error I get.

This server does not allow directory browsing.

You have requested a directory and that directory does not contain a default page.

If you are the server's administrator, you have several options to resolve this error condition:

    * Create a default page - This server is configured to look for the following default page(s): index.a5w default.a5w index.html index.htm default.html default.htm MainMenu.a5w. Create one of these to have it displayed instead of this error message.
    * Change your default page settings - Modify your default page settings to include a page that already exists in this directory.
    * Enable directory browsing - This will display a list of all of the files in your directory and allow site visitors to load any of them.

My host says, "This is not a server issue. Please check the forum - there are numerous posts about the 403 error."

I've checked this Alpha forum but didn't find any error which addresses this.

I Googled this and found a Microsoft page http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239053 relating to directory browsing. I went to the directory containing my index.a5w and checked "directory browsing" but this didn't help.

    Any ideas??

This is an error I get when I publish and ask Alpha to launch browser when finished.

    404 Not Found
The requested URL /index.a5w was not found on this server.

Here are my server directory and profile pictures. Note I do have index.a5w in the server.

Update: I may have this figured out.

My host installed the V9 WAS and accidentally configured it to access files in c:\A5Webroot instead of c:\a5v9\A5Webroot. See pic. I had 2 a5Webroots in my V9 directory.
    All should be fine now.

Sometimes when running a new patch, the patch will overwrite the original Web Application Server configuration and insert the default A5Webroot as Document Root.

So if you update your web application server always go back and check the configuration afterwards.
