    Default Show/Hide in Dialog based on session variable

    I can't seem to figure out how to use session variables to hide controls on a dialog. Apparently it's not as simple as session.foo = true. Where session.foo is a logical variable. I know the variable is being created correctly since it shows True or False when I use ?session.foo on the a5w page that contains the dialog component.

    The error I get is "Var is undefined".

    You can set this in the A5W page, not the Dialog itself. You have to look at the Dialog's xbasic tab to determine the name of the control. It will look like this: Variable_Info[1].

    Then in the A5W page, use like this, and add your expression to make it T/F

    with tmpl_mydialog
    componentName = "mycomponent"
    Variable_Info[1].Column.Hide = .f.

    Nowhere other than this message board, or my now 150 page Word doc full of such notes.
