    Default Alpha4 very old version

    Greetings,

I work for a company that uses an automated VOS software and DOS commands to run an automated machine that speaks time and temp over the phone. The Alpha4 software just uses 2-3 columns for holding operational settings.

I was wondering about 2 things:

    A) What is the newest version of the DOS Alpha Database application that is most similiar to our current version? (This also requires me to know what version we are currently using which I have no idea how to check. The properties on teh EXE does not have File Version entry)

    B) The current version does not work unless it has a LAN connection... Just to make the software run, you have to have it plugged into a router or hub just to make the software run or it gives a LAN adapter error: continue, retry, abort to dos. Is there a fix for this?
