I have created a web component:
DATA SOURCE is AlphaDAO
AlphaDAO QUERY is SPECIFY CONNECTION STRING
FIELDS a couple of fields have been chosen
PROPERTIES nothing has been changed from the default
The data base is a MS Access .mdb that is connected to w/o problems in the create data base portion of the web project and in the connection string builder in the AlphaDAO QUERY above. The web component will return the 10 lines of data in the three fields defined in FIELDS above.
Problem is when I try to Live Preview or Publish I get the following msg:
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides. SQL State is: HY024 [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed SQL State is: IM006 [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed SQL State is: IM006
I have used the MS MDAC component checker with no problems noted. I have even used odbccad32.exe and pointed it at the same data base to no avail.
I have verified the "results" of MDAC component checker against another XP machine and the file is identical to this one.
I don't know if it matters but in the Windows control panel of this machine there is no listing for "Administrative tools". The version of XP I'm using is the home version at SP3. IE is Ver 7
