Let me first describe the process, and then I'll ask the question.
In my app I have 3 fields: Wages, TaxAmount, and OtherDeductions.
I have a tax program (freely available from the tax authorities) that allows me to compute the monthly or semi monthly tax amount and other deductions. So when comes payday, I enter the wage for each employee and other basic inputs in designated boxes on an input form, click on the "Calculate" button and the program returns the amount of taxes due and amount of other deductions. I then cut & paste these amounts to A5.
Question: Is is possible to get A5 to do partially or wholly what I am doing manually, that is: I enter in A5 the wage for the period, click on a button and A5 switches to the tax program, enters the amounts in the appropriate boxes, click on the "Calculate" button, gives it a second or 2, then grabs the tax amount and other deductions amount from the appropriate boxes, returns to my app and inserts the amounts in the corresponding fields.
I should add that the same procedure can be done online also; that is, the exact same input form can be filled online, in case it is easier for A5 to do this fancy footwork on a web page than on the desktop version.
All I am looking for at this stage is: if this is possible or not and a general idea/guideline on how to proceed; specific questions will come later.
