    Default IIS and Alpha server

Can Alpha server and IIS from Microsoft work together?

I guess you mean the IIS webserver,
Back in A5 version 7 I had both running on one machine, serving a domain that had both ASP and A5
Typically IIS hogs port 80, so I had all the a5 pages etc configured to port 81.
    - The only issue was that the IIS webserver and .NET were using an excess of CPU and the A5 would go sluggish. Thus being a dual processor we were able to change CPU affinities and priorities.
    Good luck.

I am going to be testing running a .net asp page site with Iframes. And in the Iframes running A5 database application will let you know once it has been tested. Trying to get best of both worlds.
