Default Using A5 Report in Apache

We have a website build on Apache/PHP and need to use an A5 Report in it. The problem is to 'link' those platforms together. I personally see 2 ways:

    1) Somehow use an A5 engine locally for generating pdf file and sending it back to client by Apache (not using A5 WAS).
    2) Somehow transfer a5w-link (with URL arguments) to an A5 WAS that generates report and sends it to client by itself.

Which way seems more elegant and what I have to do to achieve it?

Is your existing Alpha application a Desktop app? If so, you can have your Apache send an email to your Alpha app, Alpha will "read" the email and perform a task. The task can be anything you want, such as running a report based on parameters in the email from Apache, and sending the reports via PDF to a user, also defined in the Apache email. Read up on Automating Email in the Alpha help.
