Default using photos in MySQL active link table

I have two active link tables in my app. linked to MySQL. One table allows the additions of photos in the active link table, and these photos show up on MySQL in the Query Browser.
The other table is not. Both MySQL tables have the same criteria for the fields (Blobs) and the photo files are < 64K.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Was one of them defined recently (the active link)? Do you have the SQL CREATE statements for both, plus the SQL for each that Alpha5 tries to use?

I must admit I had recently encountered a similar problem, I was sure I had managed to successfully set this sort of thing up before but now I can't... but am not 100% sure it is because I set it up wrong/differently or because alpha5 has changed!

They were defined a few days apart. I would be just as glad to be able to save the jpg file directly to the MySQL table, but I should be able to find something on that very easily.
    Thanks for your comments.

One thing I'd recommend is that in the active link definition you must override the field definition and select jpeg, I think without this it defaults to bitmap.

    Hi,

Something definitely seems to have changed, I had to change my jpeg fields to bitmap and then it worked for exports, it seems you can now have jpeg in a bitmap field which I suspect may be a step towards a more unified image field in v10?

Sure seems to me that Jpeg and PNG have been available for quite some time now---at least back to v8....Maybe different circumstances??

I meant more that it seems the fields are becoming more "unified" and as such there may be some jpg field functionality that went MIA as a result.
