Ok,
This may be impossible but I would like to do this with all my browses having multiple pages of records.
This is a typical example Browse below:
1. The Title Blocks to act like BUTTONS or at least react to clicking:
A. Click once and the File is sorted by that column.
B. Click again and the File is sorted by the opposite order.
C. Double-Click and a dialog pops up and asks the value to find in that column. If they insert a value, then it finds the value or its closest value. If they don't insert a value, then it auto-cancels, even if they click the FIND or OK button.
D. A Rt-Click puts it in NEW Record mode. HOWEVER, the Empty record appears at the TOP, not the bottom of the visible page.
2. Double-Click on any ROW'S Column Field and it goes into Edit Mode for that row and column.
3. On any ROW where the ST(ate) is TX and the COUNTY is blank, then that COUNTY Field turns RED. In other words, on any browse where a field needs possible completion (not mandatory), it turns RED or some Alerting Color. Sometimes the user will not have all the information when creating a record either manually or by script actions, but will have it later.
4. On that little left empty column, I'd like to add another Column button that when clicked it will go to the Detail Form (if there is one) for that Record. (I think I can do this if I watch my Videos on V9 long enough.)
OR will I have to add another level above the Titles with those buttons.
OR is there a better way to go on all of this that is QUICK as possible for the user and consistent with every browse.
This is my first attempt to do something with a Browse that is more than just the default. So far I have not been able to do any of the above.
