HTMLDecode() function

I have uploaded to my web site an Alpha Five User-Defined Function (UDF) that does an HTML decode of a text string of characters like & and  

It has not been optimized with regex, but does work correctly.

Hi Just wondering now that a few years have passed - how do you easily do htmldecode. Seems Alpha has encode function but surprisingly no htmldecode equivalent. So if you can encode how do you decode ?

Thanks so much Stan for reply. Sorry I am only new to functions. I took unescape to mean escape to plain text meaning it would strip all HTML markup to plain text, but I can see it just removes the encoding leaving HTML markup which is great! Have used in Server side xbasic successfully.

Was wondering is there an equivalent to doing this client side - so I only do html unescape for single UX list row being viewed in detail?
