Default Wrong character encoding data imported from MYSQL

Hi there again to A5 helpful community,
we have built a web app based on V9 running fine by a year and so now. Now there is a need to present web data provided by mysql server so we used the alphaDAO grid option to build this additional functionality. The problem we are facing now is (again) with displaying Greek characters (we reside in Greece). Greek records data are displayed fine in mysql tables but not the same withing A5 grid. They are actually presented as question marks (?????) which means that there is an encoding problem with the Greek charsets imported from mysql table into A5 engine.
Our question is how can we overpass this issue (if we can) changing mysql db encoding type to a5v9 compatible one, or use another method in order to display the data correctly.
Also notice that even importing data to a desktop table from mysql creates the same above problem.

    Thanks for reading this post
