    Default Edit Combo List

    Does anyone know the best option to set a default value in a “drop down list” [or Edit Combo List”] pointing to MSQL database table?.

    I have a set of records in a MSQL database table that will be used to populate the drop down list on the client site. I just want one of the records to be the default option. Its more like when you see on the client side of some application forms online, you will see USA as the default country since most of the clients are in the US they dont need to scroll down to the bottom of the list to choose USA. Same idea.

    Thanks
    Walter

    1) To set a default value use the OnInitialValueCalculate Event

    e.newValues.yourfieldname = "United States"

    2) Another option if you are using a dynamic dropdown list is to use the Additional choices (Pre) property - see attached screenshot. The first and third rows act as a separator from the main list.
