Default MySQL or MS SQL Server ?

    Hi guys
I'm new on A5 platform both desktop and web. I'd like to ask you couple of questions.

My background is from Linux and MySQL + PostgreSQL with JDBC (Java based) Web App. It's perform very well. Right now I need to develop both Web & Desktop app and A5 is our choice.

Right now I'm not sure about what is the prefered connection type for database and which database to choose.

    • What is the "native" connection of A5 to database, in case of Web App Server. ADO.NET or only ODBC?
    • I'm not sure that except ODBC, what kind of connection for MySQL and PostgreSQL?
    • Anyone has experience on MySQL features support by A5? Is it the same level of stability and functionality as MS SQL Server?
    • Open question, what is your DB of choice for an e-commerce website that has people around 2,000 Unique IP / Day ? Hardware and Bandwidth aren't the problem. I concern on stability and speed mostly.

    Thank you everyone!
