    Default Duplicate Records.

    Hello all my first post.
I have a very simple report based on the item numbers. I'm using the following fields created time and item number. All I want to do at this point is get a total of new items created each year. However, because of the created time field I get duplicate records. How do you remove dulicates showing on the reports?

    Thank you
    John

    Hi John,
If you are just using the Item table then I am not certain as it works here with sample data just fine---your data, of course, is different and there may be something else necessary to get the report as you want it. If you are using a set with a one-to-many link to a child table, then the duplicates are most likely due to that.

It also makes a difference as to where you are placing the fields--in the detail section (only child records should be placed there and parent into the detail header), in a grouping, in the report header...???

This should not be hard to figure out so if you can export the report (with data) and attach it here (will have to zip it after exporting to attach to a post) or pm me and I can arrange to get it.
    Mike

Thanks for attending the webinar. Using more fields on the report does help clarify the data and what to expect.

Hope to see you at another webinar soon.
