This an FYI -
Today I built a form that had a a list field based on a variable. Attached is a picture(1.png) of the form in design. Every thing was fine until I closed down for some lunch and reopened the form later. I suddenly got picture 2 attached. It seemed the definition of all the controls except two had been wiped out. Yet they were still there. I could double click and get into the events but I could not get into the properties of any control.
When I viewed the form it was all correct and still doing just as it was required - so my heart palpitations went down a little. It was only in design that there was a problem. I found the problem by chance as when i started the form outside of design I got a variable not defined error (did not get this when going from design to view or going to design)
The offending variable was supposed to be a global that was declared by the Autoexec. I had failed to put global in the declaration so it was not there for use as intended.
When I fixed the autoexec to declare, I suddenly got all my controls back up in design. My heart went back to normal
Now some of you will note I have built an email form that was already available in Alpha. I did this as there are some quirks that I wanted to remove from the user and to add some others that the user wants
