Hello,
I just spent more time than I would like to admit troubleshooting this problem so I'm posting this in hopes it may help someone else.
Problem: Saving a report as a PDF, Alpha would appear to freeze and become unresponsive.
My Fix: Right Click on the AlphaFivePrinterV4, Click "Printer Properties", Click "Ports" Tab. Make sure the "nul:" port is selected.
I hope it helps.

The details:
I save reports in PDFs on a regular basis. Today, when I went to save one, Alpha appears to freeze. It did time out after a few minutes.
I de-installed, then re-installed the printer driver manually by running the InstallAmyuniPrinters.exe as administrator under the \AmyuniV4 directory(as other posts suggested). I re-installed Alpha from the full download and applied the patches(as the wiki suggests). Rebooted several times, yada, yada, yada.
So even de-installing/re-installing - the port would always come back as "LPT1". I just assumed it captured it from LPT1 but in hind site.....
I'm running: Win7 Pro 64. I also have Quickbooks installed which I know there are some weird issues out there with Quickbooks and Amyuni as well. I did let quickbooks do an update since I know I was last printing/saving pdfs but I've also performed several other updates so I'm not sure what changed it.
