Showing multiple linked transactions

How do you show multiple linked transactions? We create sales orders, and then use the sales order to create invoices and purchase orders. When I run a report using Salesorderlinkedtxn, it only shows invoices as a linked transaction. How do I show both invoices and purchase orders that were created from the sales order?

In QuickBooks on the Sales Order screen press the History button.

Do you see the Purchase Orders on that list?

Interesting. No, I don't. Only the invoice is listed in history. The sales order is referenced on the memo line of the PO. I should be able to work with that using some Excel functions.

I am trying to link PO's and invoices to use in a Prepaid Expenses report, and in calculating sales commissions based on gross profit. If I can link the PO to the sales order transaction number, and the invoice to the sales order transaction number, then I can match PO's to their respective invoices.

Link the SalesOrder table to the PurchaseOrder table by using left(memo,20) to refnumber
Use the SalesOrderLinkedTxn table to get SalesOrders to Invoices.

I've created a report that shows all purchase orders and their associated invoices and bills using these tables

I want to create the same report, but it needs to show all bills (instead of all PO's) with their associated invoices.

In QB, bills are linked to PO's through the history button. PO's are linked to sales orders through the PO memo line. Invoices are linked to sales orders through the sales order history button.

I've tried various combinations of tables and only managed to get completely frustrated, usually getting the message "Warning: Field object references a nonexistent field."

Any suggestion about how to link the tables to show all bills and their related invoices?

I am still struggling with this, and want to try another approach. Is there a way to use a QRB report as a table to create a new report? QRB reports are not available in the Add Table feature. How do I turn a QRB report into a table?
